The SBAI Recognises Australia’s Future Fund for its contribution to the industry at its Annual Oceania Institutional Investor Roundtable

At its 3rd Annual Oceania Institutional Investor Roundtable hosted in Sydney, Australia, which brought together leading investors and managers from North America, Europe and Asia, the Standards Board for Alternative Investments (SBAI) presented the Future Fund, one of the longest-serving members of its Investor Chapter, with a plaque in recognition of its vision and leadership in the asset management industry as well as its tremendous contribution to the SBAI.

Ben Samild, CIO of the Future Fund and SBAI Trustee, stated: “The Future Fund has been involved in the SBAI for many years, as we firmly believe in robust standards, better governance, and transparency for our industry. We are proud to be part of this process.”

The Future Fund joined the SBAI’s Investor Chapter in 2010 and was the first Australian institutional investor to do so. The role of sovereign wealth funds in promoting better practices in the alternative investment industry, particularly in Asia-Pacific is very important.”
