SBAI Names Jane Buchan As New Chair
Mario Therrien said: “It was an incredible honour for me to lead the Board of Trustees of the Standards Board for the last four years and further the mission of the SBAI around the world. When I took over the reins of the SBAI, we were all in the midst of a pandemic facing unprecedented times. With the support of our Board and the team, the SBAI not only rose to those challenges but also made considerable progress, specifically in producing significant industry guidance in several areas, including ODD, governance, digital assets, responsible investment, and culture and diversity, amongst other things. We deepened our engagement with global regulators and established partnerships with leading industry organisations. However, there is still a great deal to be done, and I am confident that under the leadership of Jane Buchan, the SBAI will reach new heights for the benefit of its stakeholders and the industry as a whole.”
Jane Buchan stated: “I am deeply honoured to be elected Chair of this organisation, which I have been involved with over many years as a Trustee. I strongly believe in its mission, and, in my new capacity, I am looking forward to working with the SBAI team and my esteemed colleagues from the Board of Trustees and benefiting from their counsel in continuing the SBAI’s mission and contributions to the industry.”
